I cannot get past the main screen? What do I need to do?

You may not have the correct or most "up-to-date" Flash Plugin (which is required for viewing GCN). To install the correct plugin, visit: http://www.macromedia.com/go/getFlashPlayer/

OR

Your pop-up blocker is not allowing the login window to open. Try clicking the "non-Script Login" at the bottom of the home page.


I'm stuck on a slide? What do I need to do?

-- Follow the directions on this page to delete your cache (www.gcn1.net/detect.htm)
-- Sign back on to www.gcn1.net and login.
-- NOTE: if you've signed in using Slide Position Saving, you can return to the slide you left off with.


When I click on the “log on” button, nothing happens? How do I access the tutorial?

If clicking on the login button does not open the login screen, there may be a "pop-up" blocker installed on your computer. To bypass this, hold down the "Ctrl" key while clicking the login button. Or you may use this link to go straight to the login screen: http://www.gcn1.net/template.html



Once I access the tutorial, nothing happens? What should I do?

If no slides appear to be playing, check your internet connection, then click the "replay" button. If that did not fix the problem, refresh the page and follow the directions for "Deleting your Temporary Internet Files" on the login page and try again.



The slides keep over-lapping as I view them? What is happening?

Click the "replay" button. If the problem still exists, record where the problem occurred, slide number and contact info@gcn1.net and include that information with the email.

The player sometimes plays one slide without stopping the previous slide. This occurs mostly with lower-end computers, and we are currently diagnosing that problem.



When I submitted my information at the end of the tutorial, it stated that I need to submit my information directly to GCN? What should I do and why?

Sometimes the computer does not successfully connect to the GCN Database and an error is returned. By sending the line of text shown within the box to GCN, we can manually add your information to the database. This will assure you receive credit for completing the module.
